Advent, 2019. This series is meant to retell the redemptive history that shares our longing for a savior. Hopefully it will connect with younger audiences as well as old. The story of Jesus’s birth is to be understood in light of the whole history of redemption. From the 3rd chapter of Genesis the world is longing for the Messiah of God. Perhaps the retelling of historical longing will help us realize the glory of his appearing all the more! This sermon was preached by Clay Thompson at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Huntersville, NC on December 15th, 2019.
