The Apostle Paul concludes the eighth chapter of Romans with great confidence for those whom God has called. What God has wrought is secure and will last. Having wrought salvation for sinners, sinners can have certain hope in the midst of great distress. As it pertains to sin, shame and suffering, sinners can now glory as “more than conquerors” in Jesus Christ. Let us learn to live in light of the doxology found in Romans 8:31-39 even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. This sermon was preached at St Jude’s Anglican Church on September 8th, 2019.
