Speak Lord, your servant is listening

‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Rev 2:7).’

How are you handling the growing divisiveness in our culture? In our small fellowship we scatter among places of business, halls of justice, campuses and universities across the East Coast, home offices, schools, ball fields, nursing homes and nurseries. Yet in all of these circumstances we are probably hearing responses to the unrest in our cities and towns.

Over the next month or two I am going to work on a newsletter series on hearing, listening and speaking. We worship the living God who speaks to His people. We need to think about what it means to hear the voice of God, the whisper among the storm, that we might be prepared to speak the truth in love in such a time as this with confidence and great boldness.

For now I leave you with a question; who has your ear? Who are you listening to? If you desire to hear the voice of God you must first in faith and with much diligence, prayer and humility, open the Word of God.

In Christ,

Clay
